Yay TSA!

While standing in line for security this morning, we noticed that our ticketes were TSA Precheck!! How cool is that?? We got out of the long line and got into the one that shoes stay on, computers stay in bags and everyone is smiling because they are just seconds from being through security. The only hold-up was the peanut butter that was packed in the carry-on by mistake. One could argue that it is really a solid and not a liquid........ But the peanut butter found a home outside of our bag and we moved on. Sorry Mark, no peanut butter for you. :(

We got to experience a bit of Ecuador before leaving the country as it was raining yesterday in Ft. Collins and again this morning on the way to the airport. How interesting it will be to wet every day!

Maybe we also were experiencing another bit, as Jos and I both found spiders in our clothing this morning at Grandma Corky's house. As Jos says "God is preparing us!" At least they were little spiders. I am sure they will get larger after we land!

Even in the absence of the TSA thing, we know God's blessings surround us! A year ago, I could not have dreamed about being able to spend 2 months surrounded by little people, with my family, in another country. I am constantly amazed at creation in my own backyard, and to be able to experience another culture and area is something I absolutely do not wish to take for granted. My prayer for this trip is not only that we will change lives but that God will change us as well. That we will not to feel sorry for those with less, but to come back with an extreme distaste for the "more" that we have. That my children will find it is more rewarding to put their own feelings asided for others, and that they will truly see our God all around them. That we will not dwell any feelings that are not of God, but know that He is our lamp, our light and our protector as we head out to expierence the unknown.
